Survivor Sanctuary Plus Updates

Who they are...

Survivor Sanctuary Plus are a campaign group of Trans, non-binary, and cis-allies individuals organising and driving for real change for the Trans and non-binary community. Connecting For Good have been supporting them with their campaign work.

This is the survivor sancturay logo. There are hands holding a heart on top of a banner and the words "Survivor Sanctuary +"

What they have been up too...

  1. They have recently launched their new campaign to help improve the lives for trans and non-binary people in Coventry & Warwickshire. The campaign is focused on increasing access to bridging prescriptions of HRT at local GP services.

They created these leaflets and are currently on the lookout for people who work in healthcare who would like to support the campaign. This could be through knowledge sharing of how the system works, how to reach the best people or prompting the campaign at work.

If you would like to find out more email support@survivorsanctuary.co.uk

2. Hosted a Survivor Sanctuary stall at Coventry's very own Pride festival at Fargo Village. They raised money by selling handmade sausage dogs and rainbow lanyards beautifully crafted by the founders Mum! They shared details of the campaign and ways people could get involved.

"It was great to meet so many awesome people and talk about our work and campaigning! A BIG THANK YOU and well done to the team at Coventry Pride for a fantastic event"

3. Hosted a new group of new people for their Peer Support session. An evening full of great convos, plenty of crafts, cute gifts to take away and a popular snack section! These sessions are for the Trans and Queer community, who have been affected by all types of violence* If this is something you would like to find out more about please fill in this form.
